THE INFLUENCE OF NATURE IN WUTHERING HEIGHTS
A major theme in Wuthering Heights is the influence of place and setting on characters, their ambitions, and their personalities. Throughout the novel, setting has the power to manipulate the growth of a character and define their decisions. This theme is one of the most complex and multifaceted ideas in the novel, and has been handled masterfully by Brontë.
